After more than two years, a case that started locally has ended with the conviction of all parties by a federal jury.
Larry Dean Porter, 71, of Wheelersburg, and nine of his family members and associates were indicted in June 2020 for crimes relating to the sexual abuse of male and female minors, which were committed with the consent of the minors’ parents/guardians in exchange for illegal drugs. As of Aug. 25, 2022, all the defendants in this matter had pleaded guilty and been convicted by a federal jury.
