‘Upstairs, Uptown’ program to be held in Jackson on Thursday, Oct. 16Free Access

The Lillian E. Jones Museum, in proud partnership with Sixth Sense Brewing Company, will present “Upstairs, Uptown,” a history walk featuring the rarely seen upper floors of four uptown Jackson buildings, on Thursday, Oct. 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This walk will feature Trowel Masonic Lodge #132, the former Stiffler’s building, the former Ford Garage/Radio building and the former Opera House/Coll Auto Sales building. Participants should meet at Sixth Sense Brewing Co. at 275 Portsmouth St. in Jackson. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the walk will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Presale tickets are $20, and at-the-door tickets are $25; children 13 and younger will be admitted for free. Registration is non-refundable. Payment must be made by only cash or check. Checks should be made payable to The Lillian E. Jones Museum. Registration forms can be accessed on the Lillian Jones Museum website.

Pre-Registration and cash/check payments can be made in person at the Lillian E. Jones Museum during the following dates/times: Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 14-16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. An evening registration session will be offered Oct. 14 and 15 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Participants can also submit registration and payment through the museum mail slot located by the front door of the museum at 75 Broadway St. in Jackson outside of regular hours. These may be dropped off until Oct. 14 at 12 a.m.

Registration and tickets may also be purchased at the door starting at 5:30 p.m. on the night of the event.
