Timothy W. (Spook) Jacobs




Timothy W. (Spook) Jacobs, 65, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on July 19, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton after a six-month battle with cancer. He was born in West Union, Ohio on August 14, 1950 to the late Edward and Virginia Jacobs. He was a 1968 graduate of Jackson High School, Jackson, Ohio and was a student manager for the football team.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Jill (Reeves) Jacobs and children, Cameron and Elaina at home, Dawn (Doug) Staffin of Frankfort, Ohio and Lee (Denisa) Jacobs of Centerville, Ohio. Grandchildren are Justin (Megan) Rippeth and Adam (Nikki) Rippeth of Columbus, Ohio, Zoe Jacobs and Ophelia Jacobs of Centerville, Ohio. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren, Alexis, A’lia, Xander, Dilen, Raylee and Finnik.

Also surviving are siblings, Phillip (Bonnie) Jacobs of Shelbyville, Kentucky and Linda (Monte) Gilliland of Jackson, Ohio, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene “Skeeter” and Nancy Reeves, of Spring Valley, a sister-in-law, Judy Reeves, of California, and a brother-in-law, Chuck Reeves, of Bellbrook.

Tim retired from the United States Air Force in 1990 after 20 years of service. He was employed by Schwans of Xenia and most recently Walmart of Xenia.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Dar Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until service time. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Dayton National Cemetery.
