Sour Mash String Band to perform at Oak Hill concert this Saturday eveningFree Access

The Oak Hill Chamber of Commerce has announced a change in the entertainment for its free community concert scheduled for next Saturday evening, Jan. 28, at the Liberty Theatre Community Center on East Main Street in Oak Hill. The concert is the first of a succession of monthly events throughout the year to celebrate Oak Hill’s 150th anniversary as the village was founded in 1873. The event is scheduled from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. Due to a family emergency, the Kenny Valentine Band will not be able to perform at Saturday night’s concert as originally scheduled. However, the Chamber has been able to book an outstanding bluegrass band to perform instead, The Sour Mash String Band from Parkersburg, West Virginia. One of the band members is a well-known local musician, Harry Kuhn. Admission is free Saturday night and pulled pork dinners will be available for purchase. As an added bonus, the Kenny Valentine Band has been rescheduled to perform at the Liberty Theatre Community Center on Saturday, April 22, from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. Therefore, the Oak Hill Chamber of Commerce has scheduled two free anniversary celebration concerts this year instead of just one.
