The Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation District is currently holding a Tree and Wildlife Packet Sale, giving local community members an opportunity to purchase the seeds and starts of several florae.
Items being sold include deciduous tree seedlings, coniferous tree seedlings, specialty tree and shrub packets, mushrooms, seed mixes, wildlife boxes, fruit trees, pollinator seed mixes, native ground cover, tree supplies and more. Orders will be taken until Friday, Feb. 13. The tentative distribution date is planned for April 3. An email, text or call will be sent to confirm the exact pickup date, location and times. Orders can be placed via mail, email, phone call or by stopping by the Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation District office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is recommended that you call the office first, but it is not required. Orders must be paid in cash or checks only.
Be sure to include the number of packets you wish to order, your correct address, phone number and email address, (if applicable) on the order form and mail it with payment to: Jackson SWCD, 2026 Fairgreens Road, Jackson, OH 45640; order forms can be found on the Jackson Soil & Water Conservation District Facebook page.
