The Oak Hill Festival of Flags Committee is excited to announce that the Festival of Flags will be honoring a longtime Oak Hill business of 51 years. The Boggs Pest Control and the Boggs family will serve as the festival’s 2023 Parade Grand Marshals on Sunday, May 28. The parade will take place at 4 p.m.

Edgil Boggs purchased Vick’s Exterminating in March 1972. The name was later changed to Boggs Exterminating. In 1992, Edgil sold the business to his sons, Steve and Jerry, who had worked for the company for several years. Along with other family members, they currently own and operate what is now known as Boggs Pest Control, Inc. They are so proud to continue to serve the Southeastern Ohio area. Please join the Festival Committee in applauding the Boggs family for their accomplishment.

The public is also invited to be a part of the parade. There is no cost to participate — just be at the parade lineup before 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 28 near West Main Street and Western Avenue. The entries of the parade will be announced from a staging area on Front Street, made possible by John Forshey.
