Jackson Day Of Prayer Program

Jackson Ministerial Association member Pastor Terry Cavanaugh of the Wesley Cove Church stated the format will be different this year for the program in Jackson, which is expected to last one hour. Instead of a structured program with speakers, there will be themed “prayer stations” where visitors can choose to pray with a prayer leader for a particular theme. There is expected to be time for attendees to visit two different prayer stations.

Prayer Station leaders are to include: Bonnie Wade, government leaders; Audrey Jones, healing and wholeness; Larry Foster, military and first responders;  Terry Cavanaugh, churches and church leaders; Mike Adams, local business/media; Heather Michael, youth and schools; and Janie Karl, world conflict/poverty.

In addition to the prayer station leaders, Jackson County Commissioner and Trinity Chapel Pastor Jon Hensler will give the welcome and read an official National Day of Prayer proclamation. First Baptist Church of Jackson Pastor Seth Fallon will also read Scriptures and offer prayers. Local Girl Scouts will present the American flag and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Jackson resident and Pike Eastern School District music teacher Megan McKee will provide background music and CLA Band under the direction of Paul Hogue will perform. Also, the Jackson High School Choir will perform and certain members will also read Scripture passages.
