Crews from BrenMar Construction in Jackson have made major progress on the demolition of the Jackson Memorial Building with work taking place both last Saturday and Sunday and continuing on Monday. As of Tuesday afternoon, most of the building had been knocked down, including a portion of the front which faces Broadway Street. Once the demolition is complete and the lot is cleared of debris, the City of Jackson will be free to embark on the construction of a new City Hall building which be built at the same location.
