Tuesday, Nov. 4 was Election Day and the unofficial and preliminary results will be a matter of record by late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.
The Telegram and Total Media news team worked a long day and night covering the local elections in both Jackson and Vinton counties; however, the newspaper’s late-afternoon printing deadline on Tuesday prevented this important coverage from appearing in Wednesday’s Nov. 5 print edition.
However, preliminary election-related stories and voting totals were to be posted on The Telegram’s website at www.thetelegramnews.com. by late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. There will also be election-related coverage on the WKOV (96.7 FM) and WCJO (97.7 FM) newscasts on Wednesday. An elections-related report will also be given on the Wednesday morning edition of The Main Street TV Morning Show.
Expanded coverage of the local elections in Jackson and Vinton counties will appear in the Saturday, Nov. 8 print edition of The Telegram. The Nov. 4 election involved many school board, city, village and township candidates and issues.
