Junior Hunt

Junior Hunt, 82, of Thurman, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 1, 2007. He was born on September 25, 1925 to the late Harry and Nora (Spears) Hunt. 

Junior was a retired Coal miner and Concrete finisher. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and a past member of the American Legion. Junior was an outdoorsman, an avid hunter, and loved to fish.

He is survived by his former wife and lifetime friend, Marea Davis, one son, Carson (Chris) Hunt, of South Point, three daughters, Judy Canter of Ashville, Cindy (Joey) Walker of Thurman, and Clarissa Hunt of Winchester. Also surviving are ten grandsons, Ed (Christine) and Amos Benjamin (Tina) Canter of Ashville, Brian Hunt of Winchester, Alex (Bethany) Hunt of South Point and Evan Hunt of South Point, Bradlee Earl of Winchester, Curtis Hunt of Winchester, and Cory Montgomery of Thurman, Joey Walker Jr., and Jesse Walker both of Point Pleasant West Virginia, granddaughters, Misty Lowe of Springfield and Natalie Denny of Nashville Tennessee, Robin Canter of Jackson, Melodee Canter of Ashville, Emily Hunt of Thurman, Ashley Walker of Point Pleasant West Virginia, and twelve great-grandchildren, sisters, Bertha Hunter of Ypsilanti Michigan, and Betty (Shade) Watson of Betsy Lane Kentucky.

Junior is preceded in death by two sons, Joe Hunt and Darvin Hunt and one daughter, Carla Jean Hunt, five brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Real Friends Cemetery.
