Gladys Wyatt, age 81, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at her home. She was born on July 3, 1944, in Beaver, Ohio to the late Charles and Mary Culwell.

Gladys was very active with her local church family at the Pleasant Grove Community Church in Minford, Ohio. She enjoyed life, listening to gospel music and fishing. Spending time with Mike was one of her favorite things to do. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 48.5 years, Michael David Wyatt; her sister, Laura Adams; grandchildren: Erica Gullmeyer, Collin (Chealsea) Sturgill, Erin Poetker and Kylie Cook; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Wyatt (1995); daughter, Laureen Sturgill (2006); siblings, William Culwell, Sandy Culwell, Molly “Sis” Foster, Madge Lavelle, Elizabeth Brown, Barbara Cook, Polly Frazier, Alice Culwell and Wanda Lee Smith.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Russ Wyatt officiating and burial in the Bethel Ridge Cemetery to follow. The family will receive friends 3 hours prior to the service from 11 A.M. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mayhew-brownfuneralhome.com.
