For its 11th year, Faith and Fitness once again demonstrated the seasonal message of kindness and gratitude with its annual Thanksgiving meal drive, a significant collaboration of like-minded, charity-centric individuals throughout the community that — this year alone — has provided 272 full Thanksgiving meals for local families. Working together to help support these families (with school drop-offs) during uncertain times, Faith and Fitness of both Jackson and Wellston and their numerous community partners gathered to prep, pack and deliver these blessings of generous love over the Nov. 21 weekend. Faith and Fitness owner and operator Josie Rader shared that 40 people attended the packing event, with 10 helping with the prep work and approximately 15 delivering the meals. “We truly love to give back to our community and collaborate with local businesses and citizens,” said Rader. “Without their support, we would not be able to do it. This event is evidence of people being the hands and feet of Jesus, serving and loving through Him.” Rader also wished to give thanks to — among others, including the project’s volunteers — Jackson Walmart for their help, to Jackson Transportation for helping with the delivery of meals and transporting the turkeys to their destinations and to Bellisio Foods for their donation of 100 of the total turkeys.
