This weekend will be the final opportunity for early voting for next Tuesday’s Primary Election.
Each of the 88 county board of elections offices, including Jackson County and Vinton County, will observe the same schedule.
Election offices will be open for early in-person voting on Saturday, May 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, May 5 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday will be the last day for early in-person voting.
Also, absentee ballots may be returned to the board of elections offices in person until Tuesday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. If mailed, the ballots must be postmarked by midnight on Monday, May 5. They may not be returned to the polls on Election Day — only to the board of elections office.
The Jackson County Board of Elections Office is located in the rear of the Jackson County Job and Family Services building at 25 East South St. in Jackson.
The Vinton County Board of Elections Office is located in the Vinton County Community Building in Unit 1 at 31925 State Route 93, McArthur.
