Today’s edition of The Telegram includes an entire section dedicated to a preview of the 2025-2026 high school boys’ and girls’ basketball teams in the newspaper’s coverage area.
The “B” section includes preview articles on the boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams representing Jackson, Wellston, Oak Hill and Vinton County high schools written by Sports Editor Todd Compston and Staff Writer/Sportswriter Red Thompson, Jr. Schedules and rosters for all teams will be included. This special section will also include photos of the varsity cheerleading squads from all four schools.
The Telegram will be providing coverage of all the winter sports teams during the course of the season, including the wrestling and bowling teams. Total Media will also provide additional forms of coverage through its live radio broadcasts and streaming platforms.
