Atomic Credit Union (ACU) is excited to announce the purchase of one acre of commercial property across from Vinton County High School’s football field and track on U.S. Route 50, located in McArthur.
The purchase marks an important step toward opening a brand-new branch location designed to better serve the Vinton County community. Demolition of all structures will be completed in the coming weeks, and construction is planned with the goal of completing the new branch by the end of 2026.
This new location represents ACU’s continued commitment to investing in the communities it serves. The new branch will be located at 643 W. Main St. in McArthur and will provide a convenient branch location to their Vinton County members.
“With over 3,000 current members in Vinton County, McArthur was an easy choice for a new branch location. We look forward to serving all Vinton County residents and continuing to serve the students of the Vinton County Local School District through our student-run credit union program,” said Tom Griffiths, President/CEO.
As plans move forward, ACU will share updates along the way and looks forward to celebrating each step toward opening its doors in McArthur.
