2023 Apple Festival Queen’s Contest date, application deadline announcedFree Access

The Apple Festival Committee has announced that Saturday, April 8 will be the date on which the 2023 Jackson Apple Festival Queen’s Contest will be held. The contest will take place at the Jackson Middle School Auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. This year’s co-emcees will be Miss Viktoria Leonard and current reigning Jackson Apple Festival Queen Abby Donley.

The contest is open to all Jackson County girls who are currently in the 10th or 11th grade at any of the Jackson County high schools. They must have been a resident of Jackson County for one year prior to the festival date and plan to remain in the area through this year’s festival. Contestants must be unmarried, never have been married and have no children. These rules will remain in effect during the queen’s reign.

Contestants are required to attend a mandatory meeting held at the JAFE Building, at 517 McCarty Lane in Jackson at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, for additional information.

Entry forms are available at the Oak Hill, Jackson, and Wellston high school offices and at Andrea’s Prom and Bridal Shop in downtown Jackson. All completed entries must be hand delivered to the Jackson Apple Festival Building, at 517 McCarty Lane in Jackson, on Saturday, Feb. 18, between the hours of 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. If you are unable to turn in the application during these hours, please contact either Kristen at 740-418-9223 or Ryan at 740-418-3125, to make prior arrangements. The deadline for submission will be no later than 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18. There will be no exceptions to this deadline.
