The members of a Liberty Township family lost their home and most of their possessions when a fire swept through their residence Saturday afternoon, June 20.

Jennifer L. Meredith, 47, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly of an aneurysm on Friday, June 19, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held at convenience of family. Arrangements are by Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home and Southern Ohio Cremation Services in Jackson.
Hope Schoolhouse Welcome Center burglarized
The Vinton County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) is continuing to investigate a recent crime which resulted in the theft of thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from the Hope Schoolhouse Welcome Center in Lake Hope State Park.
Fireworks are a go on July 4th in Vinton County
