Reds games will be heard on Fox Sports 1330 AM, 105.5 FM




When the Major League Baseball season finally starts, the Cincinnati Reds games, with limited exceptions for local sports broadcasts, will be heard locally on Fox Sports FM 105.3 and 1330 AM all season long. It will be the first time the Reds have been heard on a Jackson County Broadcasting Station for many years.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Mid-South Conference Commissioner Eric Ward has announced that the University of Rio Grande, Indiana Tech, Lourdes (Ohio) University and Truett McConnell (Ga.) will join the conference as affiliate members beginning in the 2020-21 academic year.

Hubbard addresses plummeting interest rates’ affect on county finances



Jackson County Treasurer Lee Hubbard recently addressed the Federal Reserve’s slashing of interest rates in the past few months and how this will affect the county’s investments and projected interest income. This discussion was part of the Jackson County Investment Advisory Committee meeting, held Tuesday, April 28, and involved Hubbard and fellow members Commissioners Paul Haller and Ed Armstrong.

OSU Extension offices to be closed through July 6; teleworking to continue



Ohio State University Extension will continue operating via its teleworking plan for all employees and keep physical OSU Extension offices closed to the public until further notice. The policy extends to local Extension offices, including those in Jackson and Vinton counties.
