According to the Ohio Department of Health, here are the current coronavirus statistics as of 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2.

Confirmed Cases: 19,094; Probable Cases: 820; Total Cases: 19,914; Confirmed Deaths: 957; Probable Deaths 81; Total Deaths: 1,038; Hospitalizations: 3,769 ICU Admissions: 1,078.

 

Jackson County confirmed cases: 5; Vinton County confirmed cases: 6.

(The most recent case in Jackson County, which was confirmed Saturday evening, involves a male in the age 40-49 bracket.)

 

 

Fifth confirmed case of coronavirus reported in Jackson County — the first in two weeks



The Jackson County Health Department (JCHD) is reporting the fifth lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 in Jackson County. JCHD posted the news on its Facebook page on Saturday evening, May 1, but stated it would be releasing no other information at this time.
