A Hamden man sustained only minor injuries when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a slow-moving train in Jackson on Wednesday afternoon, April 15.

Eakin Road in Vinton County closed for emergency repair work

Vinton County Engineer Roy DePue has announced that beginning immediately, and until further notice, County Road 38A (Eakin Mill Road) will be closed to all thru traffic for emergency repair work on the Arbaugh Covered Bridge, which was recently damaged by high winds and downed trees.
