Downtown Association announces First Thursday Event

Oak Hill Council hires full-time police officer




The Oak Hill Village Council employed Gary Waldron as a full-time police officer during its most recent meeting on Tuesday evening, Aug. 27.

Justin Skaggs resigns as Elections Board member, is running for judgeship



Veteran Jackson County Elections Board member Justin Skaggs has resigned from that position, but will continue to be involved in the local electoral process as a candidate for countywide office.

Ohio Hill Country Festival off and running in downtown Wellston



Blessed by sunny skies and pleasant temperatures, the Ohio Hill Country Festival in downtown Wellston got off to a good start Tuesday evening with three different events being conducted.

Patrol investigating serious injury crash on State Route 32 in Jackson County



Both drivers were injured, one of them seriously, in a two-vehicle crash which occurred at 10:11 p.m. Tuesday night on State Route 32 in Jackson County, four miles east of the Pike County line.
