Lockdown at Vinton County High School proves to be a very short one
Due to a situation involving a “student inducing panic,” Vinton County High School was placed on a lockdown status for 18 minutes on Tuesday afternoon, March 19, but the building was soon deemed to be safe by the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office and the lockdown was ended.

Edwin W. Smith, age 71, of Vinton, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Funeral arrangements are pending at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.

Adena CEO Jeff Graham named to Ohio Hospital Association Board
Adena Health System President and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Graham has been appointed to the Ohio Hospital Association’s (OHA) Board of Trustees. Recently OHA’s President and CEO Mike Abrams announced Graham was among three new members to the board. He was appointed to a term ending Dec. 31, 2020.
