The annual boys’ high school basketball tournament in Ohio will start next week and the first-round pairings were released Sunday afternoon. Regular-season boys’ games will end this week.
As of 5:36 p.m. Sunday, Vinton County has been upgraded to a Level 2 Snow Emergency. Jackson County remains on a Level 1 Snow Emergency. Initially, Vinton County was placed on a Level 1 at 4:43 p.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service has finally lifted a Flood Warning for the area, but the forecast for more rain early in the week has resulted in a Flood Watch being declared for local areas, including Vinton and Jackson counties, effective Monday morning through Tuesday evening.
