The following Lions were recognized for perfect attendance for the 2017-2018 year:

 Cameron Garczyk, Legislative Aide for State Ohio Speaker of the House Ryan Smith, will be the speaker for the Thursday, Dec. 20 meeting of the Jackson County Chapter of the Public Employee Retirees, Inc. The meeting will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church, 245 E. Huron St., Jackson. The meeting is open to all retired public employees and their spouses, and it starts at 10 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be served.

The Rockets Student-Run Credit Union, located in Wellston High School, recently received a donation of $1,000 from Atomic Credit Union. The students were given a membership goal to achieve in order to promote the importance of saving at a young age and to remind everyone that, no matter the amount, every penny counts when it comes to making consistent deposits into a savings account!

Two Jackson High School seniors with sterling records of academic achievement and involvement in extra-curricular and community activities are being honored by the Jackson Rotary Club as its “Seniors of the Month” for December, 2018.
