Vesta (Baker) Mullins, age 86 of Rock Hill, South Carolina, formerly of South Shore, Kentucky and Jackson, Ohio, returned to her heavenly home on June 9, 2018.

She was born February 26, 1932 in Lick Fork, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ray and Virgie Burke Baker. On October 14, 1950, Vesta was united in marriage to John Wesley Mullins, Jr. who preceded her in death on March 21, 2009.

Surviving are three children, Mikeal (Barbra) Mullins of Jackson, Ohio, Kathie (John) Toth of St. Petersburg, Florida, Sharon (Michael) Dillon of Rock Hill, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Shane (Julia) Munn, Seth Munn, Heather (Dac) Neff, Brandy (Gino) Randolph and Jennifer (Jim) Bailey; ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Vesta was a 59-year member of the Old Regular Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, who loved gardening and quilting. Vesta was a true warrior for the lord. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God gave her peace as she was spreading the word of Jesus into her final days.

Her parents, husband, three brothers Jasper, Eugene and Shellie Baker, sister Esta Baker Mullins, and one infant daughter Tresa Mullins, preceded Vesta in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Little Flock Old Regular Baptist Church, Tick Ridge, Ray, Ohio with Brother John Thornsberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckeye Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Lewis & Gillum funeral home of Jackson, and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
