William Dean ‘Bill” Evans

William Dean "Bill"Evans, of Jackson, passed away at Cabell-Huntington Hospital Monday, Nov. 8, 2010. He was born March 14, 1934 in Piketon, Ohio to the late Alva W. and Clara Opal (Spurgeon) Evans.

He was a member of the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church and Trowel #132 Masonic Lodge and retired from Coke Cola USA as a truck driver in 1997. Bill enjoyed bowling, Nascar races and football. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis June (Miracle) Evans; sons, George E. (Connie Cole) Evans of Jackson and Dale K. (Jennifer) Evans of Prichard, West Va.; one brother, Harry (Ruth) Evans of Brookville, Ohio and sister, Jenny (Dick) Arrosmith of Florida; eight grandchildren, Jason (Wanda) Michael, Monica, Kristin, Kaylee, Brianna, J.T. and Calob; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Victoria and Desiree.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Dean Evans; two brothers, Harold and Jimmy and sister, Anna Jane.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Christman and Ed Johnson officiating and burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 at the funeral home. A masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
