LOGAN - The Jackson Ironmen tennis team lost on the road at Logan, 3-2 in a Southeastern Ohio Athletic League match on Monday afternoon.
The Ironmen won two of their three singles matches, while Logan won the doubles to claim the victory.
It all came down to the second singles match for Jackson's Caden Southard up against Justin Vagt of Logan.
The match went all three sets, as Southard won the first set 6-1, but Vagt came back to win the second and third sets, 6-2, 6-2 for the win.
Jackson's wins came at first and third singles, as Connor Radune and Blake Wyatt scored straight set victories.
Radune defeated Logan's Nicholas Kudlapur 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 1 singles match, while Wyatt won 6-0, 6-0 over Conner Wells of Logan in the No. 3 singles match.
Radune and Wyatt remain undefeated in singles play this season for Jackson.
In doubles action, Travis Stevens and Zayne Warrens lost in straight sets 1-6, 3-6 to Logan's Riley Keltch and Jeremiah Martin in the No. 1 doubles match, while Colton Lonberger and Seth Primmer of Logan won in the No. 2 doubles, 6-1, 6-3 over Madison Ephlin and Mason Sheets.
Jackson returns to non-league action on Wednesday when they travel to Waverly. The Ironmen return home Thursday for a SEOAL match against Athens.
