What would you like to see happen regarding the future of emergency medical service in Jackson County?

Please select one:
1. Commissioners should work to salvage SEOEMS. It has served the public well for many years.
2. SEOEMS can't be salvaged, I favor the establishment of a publicly-run countywide district.
3. I think emergency medical service should be turned over to a private operator.
4. I'm undecided.

State-champ Wellston HIgh School cheerleaders to lead Coal Festival
Pictured are the 2009-2010 Wellston High School cheerleaders who brought a state championship to Wellston last March. Next week, they will be in the community spotlight once again as the grand marshals for the 2010 Wellston Coal Festival. On March 7 while in state competition at Pickerington, the 15-member WHS cheerleading squad earned the title of OASSA State Cheerleading and Dance Champions for Non-Mount teams in the Division III category. Prior to attaining the state championship, Wellston cheerleaders had captured runner-up honors two previous years. The team roster for 2009-2010 was: Seniors Beth Essman, Chelsie Folden, Ciara Thompson, Jourdan Smith and Courtney Rippeth, juniors Sami Henry, Abby Riley and Kelsi Starcher, sophomores Kristen Boch, Kelsey Brown, Jordi Coulter and Josie Zinn and freshmen Taylor Avery, McKennah Robinson and Tori Wiseman. The coaches were Cindi Graham and Karen Boch. "Our girls worked extremely hard to achieve an accomplishment such as this an it is an honor to share the celebration with the community and Coal Festival guests," a spokesman commented.
