Woman cited for driving without a license

Jackson Police officers initiated a traffic stop at 2:28 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, after seeing a vehicle cross the center line several times while being driven on South David Avenue. The driver was identified as Holly Lombardo, 22, of 130 Clinton St., Jackson, and it was determined she was driving with only a temporary driver's permit, which had expired. She was cited for No Operator's License.

Driver charged with having no operator's license

At 8:18 p.m. Monday, March 6, Jackson Police officers made a traffic stop near the Speedway store at 449 E. Main St. after noticing a vehicle, which was being driven at a high rate of speed, also had a cracked windshield. The driver was identified as David L. Laber II, 22, of Ironton, and it was determined he was driving with a temporary driving permit which had expired in 2014. He was cited for No Operator's License.

Traffic stop in Jackson leads to multiple charges

Driving without using headlights proved to be a costly violation for a Jackson man as the result of a traffic stop in Jackson at 9:12 p.m. Thursday, March 9. Jackson Police officers spotted a truck being driven on Bridge Street with its headlights not activated. A traffic stop was made at the Poor Boys Tire lot at 203 Bridge St. and the driver was identified as Jerry L. Buckler, Jr., 34, of 262-½ Bridge St., Jackson. Field sobriety tests were conducted and police charged Buckler with Operating A Vehicle While Impaired (OVI). After a canine alerted on the vehicle, a search was conducted. Officers found two Marijuana half-joints, a hemostat, two Suboxone tablets and four pills in a bottle which were believed to possibly be an anabolic steroid. In addition to OVI, Buckler was charged with Possession Of Marijuana, Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia and No Headlights. Buckler could be charged with Possession Of Drugs for having the pills if tests confirmed they are anabolic steroids. He was not charged for having the Suboxone tablets.

Gun reported stolen from rural residence

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office received a report at 10:26 a.m. Friday, March 3, of the possible theft of a revolver from the residence of Sylvia Ross of 3934 John Hoops Road, Jackson. According to Sheriff Tedd Frazier, a suspect was later named and that person admitted to taking the revolver. The victim decided not to pursue any charges and the case was closed.
