Passenger charged with Marijuana Possession

A traffic stop in Jackson for a minor vehicle defect led to a Jackson woman being cited for having Marijuana in her possession Friday evening, April 7. At 9:15 p.m., Jackson Police officers initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Portsmouth and Main streets in downtown Jackson after it was noticed that a vehicle lacked a side-view mirror. Because of an officer's suspicion there may be drugs in the vehicle, a canine was called and alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. The female passenger, identified as Priscilla Hubbard, 37, of 167-½ Water St., Jackson, proved to have Marijuana in a plastic baggie inside her hoodie as well as rolling papers. She was charged with Possession Of Marijuana. The male driver was not cited.

Alleged speeder driving on expired license

At 7:27 p.m. Friday, April 7, Jackson Police officers initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Burlington Road and Huron Street after a vehicle was allegedly speeding on Huron Street. The driver was identified as Terina Conley, 40, of 1106 Clary Road, Jackson, and it was learned she did not have a valid driver's license as her Tennessee license had expired and she had not yet obtained one in Ohio. She was cited for No Operator's License and Speeding.

Traffic stop leads to DUS charge in Jackson

At 8:18 p.m. Saturday, April 8, Jackson Police officers initiated a traffic stop on Chillicothe Street after they spotted a vehicle being driven with a loud exhaust system. The driver was identified as Charles Richards, 30, of 83 Chillicothe St., Jackson, and it was determined he was driving with a suspended driver's license. He was cited for Driving Under Suspension and was issued a warning about the defective muffler.

Driving with expired sticker results in citation

Jackson Police officers were on patrol at 7:17 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, when they noticed a vehicle being driven on East Main Street with what appeared to be an expired license-plate sticker. A traffic stop was made and the driver was identified as Brady Reynolds, 21, of 731 E. Main St., Jackson. It was confirmed the vehicle's license-plate sticker had expired in June 2016 and Reynolds was cited for Expired Plates.

JPD cites woman for Driving Under Suspension

Jackson Police officers were on patrol on East Broadway Street at 2:18 p.m. Saturday, April 8, when they saw a vehicle allegedly drive left of center. A traffic stop was made and the driver was identified as Trinity Howison, 31, of 254 Triumph St., Jackson, and it was determined she was driving with a suspended driver's license. She was cited with Driving Under Suspension and was issued a warning for driving left of center.

Scioto County man cited for Fictitious Tags

A traffic stop for a vehicle defect resulted in Jackson Police issuing a citation to a Scioto County man at 9:56 p.m. Saturday, April 8. Jackson Police officers initiated a traffic stop after noticing that a truck being driven on Walnut Street had a loud and malfunctioning exhaust system. The driver was identified as Jeremy Linkous, 24, of Lucasville, and it was determined the license plates were not registered to that vehicle. Linkous had a title for the truck, but police noted it was incomplete and had not been notarized or dated. He was cited for Fictitious Tags.
