A young Jackson man was flown by medical helicopter to a West Virginia hospital late Wednesday afternoon after wrecking his motorcycle near Oak Hill.
The Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that 26-year-old Christopher Eades of Jackson sustained "incapacitating" injuries in the wreck and was flown by a MedFlight helicopter to a regional hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
According to the Patrol, the one-vehicle wreck occurred at 4:50 p.m. when Eades was driving his 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle on CH&D Road about one mile north of Pyro. Eades lost control on a curve and the motorcycle rolled onto its side and slid along the roadway. Eades never lost consciousness and was wearing a helmet.
The Madison-Jefferson Fire Department was called to the scene and assisted in setting up a nearby landing zone for the helicopter.
